Terms & Conditions

Agreement to Terms:

By booking a service or repair with Jennings Repairs and Restorations, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are publicly available on our website and may be provided on request.

Payment Terms

  • All invoices are payable in full upon completion of work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept Payment using credit/debit cards, or cash.

  • No vehicle or item will be released until full payment has been received.

Repairer’s Lien – Right to Retain Goods

  • In accordance with UK common law, we reserve the right to retain possession of any vehicle, machine, or item on which we have carried out work until payment is made in full.

  • This is known as a repairer’s lien.

  • We may charge reasonable storage fees if the vehicle is not collected within 7 days of the invoice date.

Storage Charges

  • Vehicles or items left uncollected after 7 calendar days from the invoice date may incur storage charges at a rate of £50 per day.

  • If goods are not collected and paid for within 28 days, we reserve the right to take appropriate legal steps under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, including disposal or sale of unclaimed property, following due process.

Non-payment & Dispute Resolution

  • In cases of non-payment, we may initiate legal recovery proceedings and retain any property under lien until the dispute is resolved or payment is made.

  • Any disputes should be raised with us in writing within 7 days of the invoice date.

Customers' Property and Risk

  • While every care is taken, we accept no liability for loss or damage to the customer’s property unless caused by proven negligence.

  • Vehicles are left at the customer’s risk.

Parts & Warranty

  • All new parts fitted are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

  • No warranty is offered on customer-supplied parts.

  • We reserve the right to refuse installation of customer-supplied parts if we consider them inappropriate or unsafe.

Modifications & Advisory Work

  • Any modifications, non-OEM parts, or prior customer interventions may impact the outcome or reliability of repairs.

  • We may advise additional work where safety or functionality is affected.

Contact & Collection

  • We will notify you upon completion of work. Please ensure we have accurate contact details.

  • It is your responsibility to collect the vehicle promptly upon notification.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
